Student Spotlight

Congratulations to Denver Kids student, Arshena, who just received her first acceptance to an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities)! Arshena has been in Denver Kids since elementary school, and she is now a senior who has been actively planning her next steps with Ariane, her Denver Kids Educational SEL Counselor.

"Arshena has been a pleasure to support and get to know. She has such a gentle and kind spirit," says Ariane. "I am so proud that she is pushing through her challenges and achieving her goals. I am excited about her future and all the amazing things she will accomplish."

Arshena would like to study forensics and has an interest in becoming a crime scene investigator. She hopes to enroll at an HBCU (her top choice is Prairie View A&M University) and she was so excited to recently get her first HBCU acceptance at Jackson State University. We are proud of you, Arshena!

Supporter Spotlight

Denver Kids was recently honored to be the beneficiary of the MLK Business Awards Luncheon. As part of the program, we received a $30,000 check!

Special thanks to event sponsors Molson Coors, HealthONE, and US Bank. Their sponsorships provide college scholarships and vital support for our programming, which promotes educational advancement and economic opportunity. We are so grateful for these ongoing partnerships. You can learn more about the MLK Business Awards Luncheon here.
