For over 75 years, we’ve proven the efficacy of our program, and continually innovate and improve to meet the evolving needs of our youth.
We use evidence-based programming, research and cutting-edge tools to implement, measure, track and continually improve our approach.
Our program is uniquely designed to holistically support a student—across academic, social/emotional, enrichment and future planning disciplines. One of these areas alone would not have the impact we achieve by addressing all of them in a coordinated approach.
High school dropouts will lose an estimated $1.1 million in lifetime earning potential.
In addition to their professional Denver Kids Advisor, many of our students are paired with a volunteer mentor. Mentors serve as a consistent, trusted personal and professional role model, helping students navigate new experiences, empowering them to reach for their dreams, and transforming their future. And our students need you now more than ever.
One on One Mentoring
Meet with your mentee at least twice per month (about 8-12 hours per month which includes 1:1 outings, drive time to/from outings, and phone contact time) for a minimum of one year. 1:1 outing activity examples may include: spending time at the park, going bowling, trying out a new cuisine, hanging out and talking, and more!
Participate in pre and post-match training sessions.
Get invited to various optional mentor/student enrichment events and mentor-only networking events.
Mentees in 1:1 Mentoring reside across Metro Denver and are typically middle and high school aged.
Please note that if you complete an application at this time, there may be a significant wait before we are able to connect with you about it. If you have questions in the meantime, please reach out to Allegra Bell at allegra_bell@dpsk12.net.
