Job Title: Educational SEL Counselor + Enrollment Support

Job Classification: Full Time, Exempt

Department: Program

Reports to: Program Enrollment & School Engagement Manager 

Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Summary:

This position plays a key role in the intervention strategy of Denver Kids, Inc. The Educational SEL Counselor will work directly with young people in DPS. The Educational SEL Counselor will work with school partner staff, ensuring a team-based approach. The Educational SEL Counselor is a coach and advocate, working closely with the youth, mentor, family and school to ensure wrap-around support is provided. In addition, the Educational SEL Counselor may facilitate social-emotional groups and attend mentoring community meetings. This Educational SEL Counselor will focus on serving students in DPS Intensive Pathway Schools, and will assist the Program Enrollment & School Engagement Manager with enrollment plans and implementation. This role will gradually transition to working primarily with Denver Kids young people in Intensive Pathways schools and remain mobile.

Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. Salary range is $46,000.00-$50,000.00.
